 It went Platinum--that says it all! December 28, 2008
Mr. Cook was able to put his own magis into this "Magic Rainbow" song which was his coronation song for winning American Idol Season 7. This song is uplifting and is a great upbeat, underdog winning out type of song. I hear tht people play it at graduations, weddings, etc... because it's that good. Happy for Mr. Cook.

This is one of those very, very rare songs that resonated with me instantly, but hasn't faded with repeated listenings. The melody is perfect, the lyrics inspirational, and David's beautiful rendition of it has the ideal blend of power and sensitivity.
Not to take away from David's performance AT ALL (because he did do an amazing performance), but this is one of those songs that would be phenomenal with any half-decent singer. Credit to David for the great performance, but true kudos to Regie Hamm for crafting this masterpiece. Well done, and thank you.

It looks like David Cook's new album has been well worth waiting for. He has a little bit of everything for everyone on his new CD. Everything from metal rock, alternative rock, soft rock ballads, he's phenomenal. I know what my favorite people are getting for Christmas this year! A new David Cook CD...you have to listen to it to believe it. He is the one we have been waiting for...true rockers will enjoy this!
