The Nickelback we Know & Love December 7, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This latest album from Nickelback is their best yet. It is a good solid mix of Nickelback's old raunchy-rock style music as well as their more recent pop-rock ballad style music. Expect to see several singles come off of this album like "Never Gonna Be Alone," "If Today Was Your Last Day," "This Afternoon," "I'd Come For You," as well as the already released "Gotta Be Somebody." This album is a MUST HAVE for real Nickelback fans as well as the newly converted ones. NOTE TO PARENTS: There are a couple of songs on the album with A LOT of sexual inuendo that wasn't so obvious in their last album. However, this is the classic Nickelback style and is to be expected. Awesome CD!
Nickelback... December 6, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Always sounds the same to me. With each new CD, it sounds the same of the old with new lyrics. It's not THAT bad a of thing since I do like a few of the songs but I believe that they need to change in the future. But then again, if it sells, why not right?
WTF is this crap? December 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
First let me start by saying that i am (or was) a huge fan of Nickelback. Next, let me say that this is worse than listening to the backstreet boys. The only good song was gotta be somebody, which i got as a single before the album was even released. Almost every other song is literally gay. All it's talking about it sex, which i wouldn't mind, except for the fact it sounds like it was made for [...]. When did they turn into teletubbies??? Something is wrong here, the Nickelback I know and love would never release an album as terrible as this!
Too Soft November 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The album isn't bad, but for hardcore Nickelback fans like myself, this record lacks the true Alternative Rock sound that the band was once known for. The gang seems to take a massive step towards the Adult Contemporary genre with this latest release titled Black Horse. It seems like this is becoming a popular trend among many bands that began with a much harder sound on previous albums. I don't know if this is a result of simply "growing up"... or if the money is better in the more broad Pop/AC category.
Great CD November 27, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm a big fan of Nickelback and this cd is outstanding!!! I'm not sure why others have given this cd a low rating but I guess they just cant accept a little change.. My comment to them is "No soup for you" Buy it and enjoy!!!
